Following a number of unsuccessful experiences with digital signage, JD - the UK’s largest sports fashion retailer - approached Saturn to solve its dilemma. Whilst the company had bought into the potential of the platform, it had previously failed to see any return on investment.
Saturn’s journey started at JD’s Cardiff and Birmingham megastores, where it scoped, specified and installed a number of converged digital signage solutions, which included initiatives aimed specifically at the brand’s core customer demographic.
At custom-made seating pods, large LCD screens combine with PSP consoles and music systems to provide a combined digital signage and gaming experience for customer participation. These areas are supplemented instore by small LCD screens mounted in footwear units and large videowalls, displaying key brand messages and offers.
